The triple Goddesses

Throughout the book there are three main women that make up the Hempstock family. The three women (Lettie, Ginnie and Old Mrs.Hempstock) are all very similar to the triple goddesses. The women each make up or resemble one of them. Lettie resembling the Maiden, as she is a categorized as an eleven year old girl being full of life and having her youth. Ginnie resembling the Mother, as the boy always goes down the road to her, to gain insight, and guidance of what he should do next in life, always having her show him what's right from wrong and what truth path he should follow. And lastly Old Mrs.Hempstock resembling the Crone. The Crone is the one full of all the answers she could possibly have, knowing everything that will happen throughout the life, and knowing just exactly what to do. She resembles the grandmother who knows just exactly what everyone needs in order to go through life and knows just exactly what to do.
